Who We Are:
Auto Therapy was founded by current company owner, Tim Geloff. Locally owned, born and raised in Burleigh County, ND, lived here or Mandan, ND all my life. Grew up in rural Sterling ND. Attended Sterling grade school and Wing ND high school. Graduated Auto Tech at Bismarck Junior College (now Bismarck State College) in 1981. Been in the auto repair field ever since. Started employment as service station attendant at Northbrook Skelly in Oct 1981, soon thereafter became assistant manager under owner Phillip Schmaltz, until business selling out, and changing by new ownership to C store, in May 1990. Continued to work at two other repair shops in Bismarck until spring of 1995. Then decided to help customers on more direct level by opening my own business of Auto Therapy in April 1995, and have been delighted to be a part of this community to this day. The name Auto Therapy came about from a fiance that had became very ill and had to have physical therapy every other day. She wanted to help us succeed with a new business of our own. I wanted to have a name to be self explanatory about automotive repair field and incorporate her situation. Hense became Auto Therapy. She loved the idea and it stuck. I have had many compliments on the business name and when telling the story of how it came to be, everyone truly enjoys the history behind Auto Therapy coming about.Auto Therapy would like to be an automotive repair facility where anyone could bring the ill vehicle to and get them repaired and running the way they were meant to be. Having the skills to explain to customers (in easy to understand terms of course) how complex the vehicles now-a-days are becoming and how they operate and why whatever repairs are needed to their vehicle is so important to keeping them up to last the longest they possibly can.
